What is 925/1000 silver?

More malleable and less expensive than gold or platinum, silver is a metal that allows for numerous creations in jewelry.
It is used in alloys with copper to make it more resistant and to allow for the creation of extremely thin pieces. The term 925 silver means that its alloy is composed of 92.5% pure silver.
ZELDA ZANG creations are not rhodium-plated in order to preserve the authentic and natural look of silver (solid silver also requires less maintenance than rhodium-plated silver).
Our silver jewelry develops a natural patina over time and with wear. Silver jewelry does not rust; with regular wear, silver will not oxidize, or only very slightly.

How do I care for my 925 silver jewelry?

Even though 925 sterling silver is known for not tarnishing over time, your jewelry may require maintenance to retain its shine:

• Keep your jewelry away from light and moisture in your small organza pouch.
• Wash your jewelry regularly with dish soap, Marseille soap, or commercially available silver cleaner, or even more simply with toothpaste.

Instructions for use: Soak your jewelry for 10 seconds in the silver bath, rinse it thoroughly with warm water, and dry it with an absorbent cloth.
You can also bring your jewelry back to one of our stores so that we can re-clean it.

In what situation should I remove my 925 silver jewelry?

Your 925 silver jewelry can be worn when in contact with clear water (example: shower, sea, lake).
On the other hand, we advise you to remove your jewelry when in contact with water containing chemicals such as swimming pools (chlorine, sea salt, bromine), jacuzzis, and hammams.
Your jewelry should also not come into contact with products that can react chemically with silver and thus risk altering it, such as sunscreens, essential oils, perfumes, medical creams, household products, detergents, and other corrosive products.
